Run

Three steps without an installer.

  1. Download the ZIP

    Verify size and SHA-256.

  2. Extract everything

    Do not run the EXE from inside the ZIP.

  3. Open GRANI.exe

    Approve UAC. SmartScreen may warn about the unsigned beta.

Quick controls next to the clock

Right-click the GRANI icon to connect or disconnect VPN, open the window, or visit the website. A green dot means connected, amber means a transition, and gray means VPN is off. Closing the window keeps the connection active. Choose “Disconnect VPN and quit” to exit. If the icon is hidden, open the tray overflow and drag GRANI onto the taskbar. Ctrl+Space toggles VPN in the focused GRANI window.

To update, disconnect VPN in the old version, wait for it to stop and quit from the tray menu. Then extract the new folder. Sign-in and settings are stored separately. Keep the data and runtime folders and all DLLs beside GRANI.exe.

Windows may show an Ethernet network icon while VPN is active because of its virtual adapter. Check the separate GRANI icon for your VPN status.

Known limitations

  • No Windows code-signing certificate.
  • No announced automatic update flow.
  • Payment is completed in the Android app under the same GRANI account; there is no separate Windows billing flow.
  • Windows 10/11 x64 are supported; ARM is not claimed.
